The ‘you’ that you are becoming is already there, inside you. But some parts need to be eroded, and sometimes that happens in joyful times, but sometimes that happens in life’s challenges. Rain, flash floods, and the warmth of the sun all combine to change you, sometimes slowly and sometimes all at once.
As they pass, as you move through life, the highs and the lows strip away the masks you’ve tried wearing, the priorities you adopted from others that aren’t really yours, and cement the little joys you choose to celebrate even when others don’t understand.
